The Boerne-Champion boys’ basketball team had a strong showing at the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament going 3-0, and also had wins on New Years Eve and Jan. 4 to make it five straight victories.
The Boerne boys’ basketball team traveled to San Antonio to take on the Young Men’s Leadership Academy on Jan. 4 where the Greyhounds came away with a 68-55 against a tough opponent to improve to 16-6.
Last week Boerne-Champion traveled to Dripping Springs for a district matchup and had a 20 point victory by a score of 52-32, improving to 10-5 and 1-1 in league play.
It was a tale of two teams in the Kerrville Tournament for Boerne High School, as the boys’ basketball team struggled to shoot the ball in the first day to post a pair of blowout losses, but then found their touch to go 1-1 in the second day.
The Boerne Greyhounds continued to play solid basketball this season, notching a tight 54-52 overtime win over the Somerset Bulldogs to improve to 7-2 and take a fourth straight victory.

The Corpus Christi ISD boys basketball tournament continued on Friday and Saturday, with Boerne picking up three wins to improve to 6-2 on the young season.

The Bourne-Champion Chargers had a strong season where they went to the second round of the Conference 5A Division 2 state tournament and posted a 9-3 record, including 4-1 in the district.
