The Boerne girls’ basketball team jumped out to an early 23-3 lead over Burnet and cruised to a blowout 61-33 victory to improve to 12-3.
Boerne outplayed Burnet in just about every aspect, out-rebounding Burnet 44-21 and dishing out 18 assists compared to six For Burnet. Boerne shot 40% from the field and was 44% from downtown. The Greyhounds were also efficient at the free -throw line, shooting 80%.
Defensively Burnet had six more steals, but Boerne did a nice job on shot defense, limiting Burnet to 20% including only 25% from behind the arc.
