The Boerne-Champion boys’ basketball team had a strong showing at the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament going 3-0, and also had wins on New Years Eve and Jan. 4 to make it five straight victories.
The Chargers kicked off the tournament on Dec. 27 with a blowout win over Floresville by a score of 91-29. Boerne-Champion was dominant in every phase of the game, shooting 50% and outrebounding Floresville 45-14. The team also had 19 assists compared to five for Floresville and 18 steals to five. The Chargers then took a win over Bastrop for the night game by a score of 73-40.
On Dec. 28, Boerne-Champion beat San Antonio Christian 77-46. Boerne finished out the week with a 84-51 win over Seguin on Dec. 31.
Boerne-Champion boys’ basketball then beat Tivy 71-42 on Jan. 4.
