Last week, the Boerne-Champion boys’ basketball team notched a pair of home wins over Jay and Dripping Springs to improve to 11-4.
On Dec. 7 the Chargers beat Dripping Springs 54-43 in what was a fairly right performance throughout. Boerne-Champion out-rebounded Dripping Springs by a wide margin of 28-to-15 and had one more assist, two more steals and two blocks, to one for D.S. However, Dripping Springs actually outshot Boerne-Champion percentage-wise from the floor at 42% compared to 37%, but Boerne-Champion excelled from the line at a 76% clip.
This was the first district win of the season for Boerne-Champion.
On Dec. 10 the Chargers took on Jay and came away with a 78-67 win at home.
So far this season the Chargers are outscoring their opponents 873-689 and are 5-1 at home.
