Last week Boerne-Champion traveled to Dripping Springs for a district matchup and finished with a 20-point victory by a score of 52-32, improving to 10-5 and 1-1 in league play.

Leading the scoring charge was senior Khiara Flugence who put up 20 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field. Flugence did a great job getting to the foul line, making eight trips and draining eight shots. She also gathered two rebounds, had an assist, blocked a shot and stole four passes.

Senior Kristen Borgerding was also efficient, shooting 7-for-11 for 16 points. She had a double/double with 13 boards, as well as three steals, an assist and a block.

Junior Madyson Marquard had seven points including a three pointer. She had three rebounds, three steals and an assist. Senior Kendall Skipper stole three passes and snagged a pair of rebounds on top of one basket. Sophomore Adriana Barreiro sank a three-pointer, stole three passes and dished out four assists.

Overall the Chargers shot 42% from the field but struggled from beyond  the arc going 2-for-15.

It was a good bounce back win for the Chargers who previously lost a tournament matchup against Coronado. The Chargers have outscored their opponents 846 to 569 and have excelled on the road going 4-1. It was the first home win for Boerne-Champion.
