There were 79 students enrolled in Meadowland Charter District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.9% of them were boys, and 48.1% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Meadowland Charter District students was Hispanic, accounting for 41.8% of the student population.

Meadowland Charter District roughly covers schools within Kendall County with its main office in Boerne.

Among the two schools in Meadowland Charter District, Oaks Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 73 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
