After a nationwide search through most of the summer, the presidential search committee for San Antonio College has selected four finalists for the next president of the college.
The finalists are:
Dr. Feleccia Moore-Davis
Campus President and Chief Academic Officer of St. Louis Community College, Meramec, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez-De Jesus
Executive Vice President of Student Success, Milwaukee Area Technical College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Stella Lovato
Vice President for College Services and Interim Vice President for Academic Success, San Antonio College
Dr. Warren Haynes
Vice President of Instruction and Student Services at the Blue River and Business and Technology Campuses in the Metropolitan Community College District, Kansas City, Missouri.
Starting Monday, Oct. 31, through Thursday, Nov.3, each finalist will spend one day visiting San Antonio College. During each visit, SAC will host a series of forums to give students, faculty, staff, and the community opportunities to meet and ask questions of each candidate.
An open community forum will be held every day with the finalists from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Nursing and Allied Health Center room 218.
Here is the schedule for the finalists’ visits:
- Monday, Oct. 31 - Dr. Feleccia Moore-Davis
- Tuesday, Nov. 1 - Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez-De Jesus
- Wednesday, Nov. 2 - Dr. Stella Lovato
- Thursday, Nov. 3 - Dr. Warren Haynes
The next SAC president will succeed Dr. Robert Vela, who left SAC to become president of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Currently, Dr. Francisco Solis is serving as interim president of SAC.
