Rosalind Ong has been promoted to Academic Program Director of Learning Outcomes Assessment, a new position in the Office of Integrated Planning and Performance Excellence (IPPE). Previously, she served as the Coordinator of Measurement and Evaluation for Learning Assessment in the IPPE Office.
The mission of Learning Assessment is to measure what students are learning. The broad reach of Learning Assessment is to provide opportunities for students to attain marketable skills not only in the classroom but also through student success, co-curricular, and extracurricular experiences. These opportunities will prepare students with the skills needed for both advancing their academic careers and learning critical workforce skills.
As director, Ong will lead and support the assessment process to analyze student learning outcomes. She will oversee program development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement to ensure program objectives are met. She will also ensure compliance with all grant, legal, licensing, and certification requirements.
Ong received a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Study as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also received an associate degree in international studies from Northwest Vista College.
