Following up its 41-40 season-opening win against Lanier, the Boerne Greyhounds boys basketball team handed the Medina Valley Panthers a 52-42 defeat at home Monday.
Boerne pushed its record to 2-0, while Medina dropped to 1-3.
The 'Hounds were led by senior Devin Styles with 22 points on seven for nine from the field on deuces and two of three from three-point range. Junior Barrett Pape scored 11 and grabbed eight rebounds, and senior Preston Thompson scored nine.
Junior Trevor Agarwal scored six and juniors Brendan Smith and Colton Hoegemeyer each had two.
