The Boerne Greyhounds varsity basketball team tipped off the season with a 41-40 squeaker victory over the Lanier Voks, Tuesday.
The Greyhounds were led by senior Devin Styles with 15 points, junior Barrett Pape with 12 and senior Preston Thompson and junior Trevor Agarwal with 6 points apiece
The Hounds hit on 15 of 42 shots and were only 1 of 13 (Agarwal hit it) from beyond the 3 point arc.
Pape led the ’Hounds on the boards with 10 rebounds, and Styles had 9 – 4 on the offensive boards. Thompson and Pape had the best “D” hands with three steals each.
The Greyhounds next take on Medina Valley on Monday.
