Fresh from a 40-point victory in their season opener, the Boerne-Champion girls basketball team built on that and rolled again with a 52-point romp over West Marcos High School, 78-26.
Leading from the opening tip-off, the Lady Chargers were led by senior Kristen Borgerding, who dominated the floor with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 9-for-13 from the field and 8-for-9 from the free-throw line. Senior Khiara Flugence had 14 points, and three girls scored seven points each – seniors Kendall Skipper and Adri Davenport, and junior Madyson Marquard.
On defense, junior Addison Hankins had five steals and Marquard had four. Hankins and senior Emily Plank each had 6 assists.
“I was very proud of the way the girls played," Lady Chargers head coach Marsha Hammond said. "We are improving each day. This week we have Brackenridge and the SAISD tournament.”
B-C followed with another blow-out, a 76-27 win over Brackenridge.
