There were 6,743 white students enrolled in Kendall County schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Kendall County welcomed 11,473 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white comprised 58.8% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the 17 schools in Kendall County, Boerne - Samuel V. Champion High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 1,220 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
