I-35 Northeast Expansion (I-35 NEX) Central Construction ProjectThe photo above shows the first column completed on the I-35 NEX Central project located in the area of southbound I-35 and Farsight Drive between the mainlanes and frontage road.

This is just one of over 1,140 columns that will support the future elevated lanes. Soon you will see more columns being formed along southbound I-35 and eastbound Loop 1604 as construction progresses. Some of the columns will be customized with the City of Live Oak logo on them to indicate when vehicles are passing through Live Oak.

FM 1518 to Loop 1604

Southbound

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple right lane (3) closures on southbound I-35 mainlanes from Evans Road to Olympia Parkway, entrance ramp closure between Retama Parkway and Olympia Parkway and exit ramp closure at Retama Parkway for striping and barrier work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on southbound frontage road of I-35 from Evans Road to Olympia Parkway for striping and barrier work.• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on southbound frontage road of I-35 from Olympia Parkway to Gateway Boulevard for temporary pavement, striping, and barrier work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple left lane (3) closures on southbound I-35 mainlanes from Evans Road to Olympia Parkway for striping and barrier work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on eastbound and westbound Retama Parkway from Lookout Road to southbound frontage road of I-35 for striping and barrier work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Southbound I-35 entrance ramp closure between Old Austin Road and Forum Parkway for temporary pavement work. Southbound frontage road of I-35 traffic must use the Forum Parkway turnaround and follow detour signs.

Loop 1604 to Toepperwein Road

Southbound

• Through Saturday February 11 long term closure (24/7). Left lane closure on southbound I-35 frontage road between Pat Booker Road and Toepperwein Road for drill shaft, column, and cap work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple right lane (2) closures on southbound I-35 mainlanes from Forum Parkway to McMorris Boulevard for striping.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on southbound frontage road of I-35 from IKEA-RBFCU Parkway to Pat Booker Road for striping and barrier work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple right lane closures (2), entrance ramp closure, and exit ramp closure on southbound I-35 mainlane from Pat Booker Road to Judson Road for barrier setting and striping work. Traffic should use next entrance and exit.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on southbound frontage road and flagging operation of I-35 from Pat Booker Road to Toepperwein Road for barrier and striping work.

Toepperwein Road to O’Connor Road

Northbound

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Right lane closure on northbound I-35 mainlane, exit ramp closure, and left lane closure on northbound frontage road of I-35 from Bladau Bishop to Judson Road for tree removal work. Traffic should use next exit.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Right lane closure on northbound I-35 mainlane, exit ramp closure, and left lane closure on northbound frontage road of I-35 at O’Connor Road for tree removal work. Traffic should use next exit.

Southbound

• Through Monday May 15 long term closure (24/7). Left lane closure on southbound I-35 frontage road between Toepperwein Road and Judson Road for soil nail wall, dill shaft, column, and cap work.• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple right lane closures (2) on southbound I-35 mainlanes, entrance ramp closure, exit ramp closure, and (2) left lane closures on the southbound frontage road of I-35 from Judson Road to O’Connor Road for striping work. Traffic should use next entrance and exit.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple left lane closures (3) on southbound I-35 mainlanes from Judson Road to O’Connor Road for striping work.

• Sunday February 5 until Saturday February 11 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM. Multiple right lane closures (2) on southbound I-35 mainlanes, exit ramp closure, and alternating lane closures on southbound frontage road of I-35 from Toepperwein Road to Judson Road for earth, striping, and barrier work.
