Times have changed. And making changes to your carrier envelope containing your voted ballot by mail, if returned, should be easy:
If you have updated your voter registration to include both your Texas Driver’s License number or Texas Department of Public Safety ID number, AND the last four digits of your Social Security number
Go to www.votetexas.gov and click Track My Ballot to correct your ID information on your application for a ballot by mail or on the carrier envelope containing your voted ballot. You may also use the online ballot tracker to track the status of your application and later your ballot.
Bring your ballot that was mailed to you and turn it into the election officials at the polling location to vote in-person. If you do not have your ballot, you may vote a provisional ballot, which will be counted as long as the ballot by mail that was mailed to you is not returned to the Elections Department as a voted ballot.
Note: To avoid chances of your ballot by mail from being returned, please make sure to include your Texas Driver’s License number or Texas Department of Public Safety ID number, AND the last four digits of your Social Security number on your voter registration profile as well as your Ballot by Mail Application and your Carrier Envelope containing your voted ballot.
