Password for meeting: HazardMitigation
The purpose of the public meeting is to provide a project overview from the BCOEM, as the lead for this project, and solicit information from residents.
Public input will help the project team to identify and analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible actions to reduce their impact. Hazards can include floods, tornadoes, wildfires, winter storms, and other major disasters. Each year, millions of federal grant dollars are made available to eligible applicants via programs such as the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program. With an approved hazard mitigation plan, Bexar County and the cities participating in Bexar County’s hazard mitigation plan will be eligible for these competitive grant funds.
If you cannot attend or have trouble accessing the public meeting, you can obtain information about the planning process and a public participation survey by contacting Colton Goss, at Colton.Goss@bexar.org.
