University Of Texas - San Antonio recently issued the following announcement.

Eleven UTSA programs are receiving high praise and recognition after placing amongst other U.S. schools on Intelligent.com’s best institution programs list for 2022.

The higher education resource guide for online/on-campus program rankings and higher education planning identified UTSA’s top programs based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost and reputation.

They also calculated an Intelligent Score for each program on a scale of 0 to 100 based on program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost, and student engagement.

Intelligent.com ranked its cybersecurity program No. 6 out of 39 in the U.S for Best Cyber Security Degree Programs. The publication’s list highlights B.S. and M.S. degrees in cybersecurity and cyber defense, plus security-related certificate programs. To determine the best cybersecurity degree programs, Intelligent.com assessed 166 universities and colleges and compared 222 education programs.

At UTSA, undergraduate students can earn a B.S. degree in computer science offered with optional concentrations in cybersecurity, data science, cloud and systems, software engineering, or the highly specialized cyber operations track.

UTSA is the only Hispanic Serving Institution in the nation with three National Center of Excellence designations from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency.

Intelligent.com also evaluated UTSA’s online cyber security program, ranking it No. 12 out of 70 schools in the U.S., for Best Online Security Degree Programs.

The online guide looked at 105 universities and colleges and compared 362 education programs that can be fully completed online, with many of them offered in asynchronous format.

UTSA’s unique online cybersecurity program contextualizes the role of cybersecurity within the greater business landscape. By building a general knowledge of business alongside highly marketable cybersecurity skills, graduates are better able to protect and defend valuable information, data, and assets.

The university’s social work programs also were recognized by Intelligent.com. UTSA earned the No. 12 spot out of 50 for Best Master’s in Social Work and No. 28 out of 65 in Best Social Work.

When curating these lists Intelligent.com focused on both undergraduate programs and graduate programs in social work that offer master’s degrees. All listed social work programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, which means they meet the highest standards of quality.

The UTSA Master of Social Work program prepares students for advanced social work practices. Graduates work in professional positions serving diverse individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.  They demonstrate commitment to social responsibility, cultural competence, and community collaboration within an inter-professional and global context.
