Business owners in Leon Valley received supplies and resources from Bexar County as businesses in the county begin to reopen.

Fox San Antonio reported the bags of items were given out to about 150 businesses in Leon Valley. The bags were filled with essential items such as digital thermometers, gloves and had sanitizer.

Business owners who qualified for one of the bags had to own a business in Leon Valley and register before showing up.

“I tried getting digital thermometers and I ordered them way back in April and they just lost my order,"  Gordon Hass, owner of Side Wok Cafe in Leon Valley, told Fox. "So being able to pick up some stuff like this that you can’t find like hand sanitizers and masks they’re all tough to find."

Bexar County is planning similar giveaways for other cities in the county that were impacted by the pandemic.
