On August 22,2022 the Balcones Heights City Council unanimously approved the city’s FY 2022-2023 budget. This current conservative budget will maintain the same tax rate from the previous year, property tax at 0.583, while tempering some projects in FY 2023. With new business on the horizon, there is also new economic development allowing larger revenue.
