The first quarter started slowly for the Boerne Greyhounds, Oct, 14, but once they got to full speed, they ran the Uvalde Coyotes out of the stadium by a 54-17 score. The  Greyhounds (5-2, 2-0 District League) only had a 13-10 lead over Uvalde (2-6, 0-2) at the end of the first quarter, but by halftime, that lead was blown away and the Hounds hit the locker-room up 47-17, after a 34-point second quarter.

Six-foot, 205-pound senior quarterback Rashawn Galloway Improved his season total to 1914 yards, 22 TDs and  273.4 yards per game with a prime time show that garnered a 125.0 QBR in the game to increase his rating on the year to 123.7.

Galloway connected on 11 of 16 passes for 375 yards and 5 TDs against one interception in one half of football. That included a 72-yard bomb to junior wide receiver Riley Pachacek, who caught three passes in the game … and all three were touchdowns for a game-leading 180 yards.

The first-half show allowed Houston Hendrix to get into the act as quarterback in the second half, in which he completed 6 of 9 for 51 yards and a TD. Together, Galloway and Hendrix connected with 9 different receivers and none caught more than 3. In addition to Pachacek, senior Koby Hunter grabbed 3 for 104 yards, including a 56-yarder; and junior wide receiver Justin Moore caught 3 for 78 yards and 2 TDs including one for 47 yards. The other score went to junior Camden Johnson from 22 yards out.

The pressure led to interceptions by senior Colby Brown, junior Cole Gentry, Lundy, and junior Will French, who was in on 4 tackles, as was Poole.

Add to that a fumble recovery by senior Will Pearson and you have total Hound domination. The Greyhounds finished with 426 yards passing and 176 rushing for 602 yards and held the Coyotes to 131 passing and 30 rushing for 161 total yards. Bourne converted six of 10 third-down opportunities while they held Uvalde to zero in 10 third-down situations.
